Meet the Founder

My name is Vicki and I am the founder of Two Became One. Although I never started out as an independent business owner, I always knew that one day I would find the courage to make my dream happen. As they say, #dreambig and don’t let anyone take your dreams away.

Back in 2008, I gave birth to my first child. I remember feeling like I wanted this little bundle of joy to one day to be proud of her mummy!

My mum always taught me to be strong in a world that can sometimes feel very cruel. I took those wise words on board and strove to shine as a female in a man’s domain.

Before I gave birth, I worked for a well-known luxury five-star hotel chain as their events manager and got an events degree.

Later, I found myself in Marbella due to my husband’s work, which gave me the opportunity to do what I do best – host soirees, events and celebrations. My Marbella clientele were influential businesswomen who, like me, had successfully created flexible businesses that fitted around their lifestyles and children, and diplomats and affluent families who needed a discreet and personal service, usually on a non-disclosure basis.

Over half of my current planning is carried out using non-disclosure, and my clients trust me to keep their private events exactly that – private.

From there, I founded Two Became One and I still have those very first clients on my books. #together.

In 2012, I gave birth to my second child, which challenged me in terms of juggling my children and building the business. But I made it through, learning along the way how to be tough and determined.

Shortly afterwards, my husband’s work relocated to London and I had to decide whether to uproot my business or close it down. In the end, I made the brave choice to move Two Became One to London and incorporate a luxury concierge service that would not only cater for my clients’ events and weddings but also take care of their everyday needs.

Being a business owner is not easy. However, no matter how crazy things get, I remember that I’m doing this partly to demonstrate to my two beautiful girls that everything is possible when you put your mind to it and partly because I want them to grow up knowing that you have to work hard for what you want. Nothing gets handed to you on a plate.

The bigger picture for my business is to create a successful luxury brand that is an elite household name known for its service quality.

I am so thankful for the tireless support of my husband and children, and I hope to inspire other women who might be thinking about starting their own business. It seems daunting at first but trust me, it will all be worth it in the end. #dreambig
